ASHLAND PUBLIC HEARING
Town of Ashland: Second Public Hearing Agenda Date: 11/13/23
The procedure for the hearing will be as follows:
- Provide information on the amount of CDBG funds that were made available.
- $400,000 in total grant funds which breaks down to $328,000.00 in construction, $52,000.00 in soft costs and $20,000.00 in administration fees.
- As of today, $ 209,278.30 in construction has been allocated and approximately $35,000 in program delivery and $12,000 in administration. The remaining amount of unused funds (about 35% of the grant award) will be de-obligated.
- List the activities that were undertaken with CDBG funds.
- Roof and soffit replacement or repairs and gutter installations
- Regrade foundations and pour a retaining wall
- Siding replacements including replacing rotted sills
- Interior door replacement
- Ceiling repairs
- Window replacements
- Radon Mitigation
- Egress Doors
- Shower Conversion
- Smoke/CO Detectors
- Repair and replace floor joist.
- Replace failing Bathroom light/fan combos.
- Installation of in wall electric heaters
- Replacement of faulty light switches
- Repair plumbing
- Replace failing insulation
- Install venting
- Provide information on the amount of CDBG funds made available for activities that benefit the LMI National Objective. 328,000 made available in construction to benefit Low to moderate income households and meet the national objective.
- If the CDBG activities undertaken resulted in displacement, review the municipality’s anti-displacement and relocation plan required under 24CFR 570.488 and how compliance was achieved.
No individuals were displaced while work was ongoing, everyone was able to stay in their homes.
- Invite and receive comments and recommendations from the public on activities that were undertaken, or on activities which were added, deleted, or substantially changed from the application submitted to the State.
